Cycling

Krk is ideal for discovering the island on two wheels.
More than 500 km of cycling trails offer a variety of terrains – from easy routes for relaxed rides by the sea to more demanding climbs and mountain tracks that will satisfy experienced cyclists and adrenaline enthusiasts.
Each trail reveals a new view, scent, or hidden corner of the island, so regardless of your pace or experience, you will experience Krk in its most authentic form by bicycle.

Hiking and Mountaineering

Walking enthusiasts will enjoy a rich network of more than 300 km of marked hiking and mountaineering paths.
They follow the coastline or pass through the interesting interior of the island, allowing you to choose the pace, difficulty and style of your adventure.

A highlight is the circular hiking route "Putevima Dobrinjštine” – a 20 km long trail that starts and ends in Šilo, showcasing the most beautiful parts of local nature and heritage.
There is also the short but unique educational path Put glagoljaša in Gabonjin, which, over just 200 metres, reveals the story of the oldest Croatian script.

Sports Events and Outdoor Projects

Throughout the year, Krk offers various sports events – the most famous being Krk Bike Story, ideal for those who wish to explore the island by bike.
The island is also part of the well-known Camino route, which follows the footsteps of medieval pilgrims and reveals a rich historical, cultural and natural heritage.
For fans of bodyweight training, two street-workout areas are available in the municipality of Dobrinj.
